Drug company CEO defends 400 percent price increase: ‘It is a moral requirement to make money when you can’

Nirmal Mulye, the CEO of drugmaker Nostrum Laboratories, defended raising the price of an antibiotic from $474.74 to $2,393, saying: “I think it is a moral requirement to make money when you can … to sell the product for the highest price.”
