Here’s your reminder that a group of Republican Senators and a Republican Congresswoman were in Russia on the Fourth of July with the stated goal of “mending relations” with former Russian ambassador to the US and spy chief Sergey Kislyak who’s at the center of the Mueller investigation. The group expressed disappointment over Vladimir Putin not meeting them. Senators: Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), Steve Daines (R-Mont.), John Hoeven (R-N.D.), Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), John Kennedy (R-La.), Jerry Moran (R-Kan.), John Thune (R-S.D.) and Rep. Kay Granger (R-Tex.).
