Donald Trump’s White House Communications Director, Hope Hicks, or “Hopie” as he calls her, told the House Intelligence Committee that working for Trump requires her to lie, but then claimed she’s never lied about collusion with Russia. Hicks “pointedly and repeatedly declined to answer questions about the presidential transition or her time in the White House” and would only answer questions about her time on the campaign. Hicks has been with Trump ever since he saw her working for his daughter, Ivanka, and told he should would be working exclusively for him and his campaign. She was a low level PR staffer before meeting Trump and now she runs White House communications and gets the highest pay allowed for White House staff.
Ms. Hicks, the White House communications director, told lawmakers investigating Russia’s election interference that she has not lied about matters relevant to their inquiry.
