💖 California. Over $100,000 of untouched, unopened food gets thrown away every day in Los Angeles schools alone. Governor Jerry Brown just put an end to it by signing a law that allows them to give it to food banks instead of dumping it in the trash. This is common sense at work.

LAUSD to give untouched food to food banks under new law

Gov. Jerry Brown has signed a law that allows the LAUSD to give unopened items and untouched fruits to local food banks instead of throwing them out. Each day, at least $100,000 worth of food is given up.
