Manhattan prosecutors spent 2 years building a strong felony fraud case against Donald Trump’s eldest children, Ivanka and Donald Jr. They were close to being charged until Trump Sr.’s lawyer Marc Kasowitz, made a large donation to Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., who forced his attorneys to drop the investigation. Kasowitz made an even larger donation to Vance after the case was dropped. Vance returned the first one while the case was ongoing, but kept the second which was double the amount of the first. Kasowitz is representing Trump in his Russian collision case.
